We are hiring: Account Manager (web design/ digital agency)
Posted by Kaine Shutler on January 7, 2020
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to progress their career in client management and project management.
Who we are
We are a specialist digital agency who design and develop custom elearning systems for a variety of clients. On top of the design work, we also deliver a range of website management and marketing packages to both elearning and non-elearning clients.
Although we are a small agency our work has been recognised worldwide and this has given us the opportunity to work with some great people.
The impact of everyone’s work here is extremely meaningful, as a smaller agency your voice will be heard and your opinions will help drive the direction of the company.
Our ideal candidate
We’re looking for someone who is excited by the prospect of working with a variety of clients and is confident managing projects through from beginning to end. As a digital design agency no two clients are ever the same and each day provides its own triumphs and challenges.
Our new Account Manager needs to demonstrate excellent communication skills to handle internal teams and clients. Processes are key to consistent, high-quality work, so alongside making sure deadlines are hit, the Account Manager needs to be responsible for quality assurance and feedback management.
In addition to client management and QA, the Account Manager will also be responsible for handling queries sent to our support desk; actioning small requests, doing research into solutions and booking in larger jobs with our development team. As a result, WordPress experience is essential and the candidate would benefit from an active interest in digital tech, web development, UX or marketing.
You will ideally have at least 2 years of account management/ client management skills as this role will require you to manage multiple stakeholders from our internal design and development team, to our clients’ project lead and team members.
You will also need to be familiar WordPress and the quality assurance/ quality control process so that you can sign off work before it goes to the client.
Experience with digital design projects, UX or HTML is advantageous but not a must.
- Excellent written communication
- Great phone manner
- Confident managing expectations
- Able to work to deadlines
- Proficient with WordPress
- Basic understanding of HTML
- Familiarity with Google products
We are extremely collaborative and love bouncing ideas off of one another. We’re a supportive bunch who are proactive in our own personal and professional development endeavours.
We have a shared interest in tech, design and other nerdy stuff. We all enjoy a laugh and have created a chilled but productive working environment.
We all tend to socialise on a Friday where we’ll all grab lunch out and sometimes even a cheeky drink. Every so often we’ll arrange to go out to the pub after work. Most of us also attend tech/ coworking socials and other industry events throughout the month as an opportunity to meet new people and network.
- 25 days’ holiday
- Flexible start and finish times
- Unbeatable work/life balance – no weekend calls/emails
- Central Bristol location
- Right next to Temple Meads
- Personal and professional development plan
- Paid training
- Annual performance-based bonus
- Commission structure for new client wins
- Plans to grow the team with possible management opportunities
- MarioKart 8
We’re offering £22,000-£28,000 based on your experience – we welcome having this discussion should you be selected for an interview.
